$425,000 Settlement for Trucking Accident

John Molinari represented a 27-year-old woman who was a passenger in a motor vehicle traveling on Route 440 in Jersey City when it was sideswiped by a tractor-trailer, pinning the car against the sidewalk. She sustained cervical herniations that required extensive treatment, including epidural injections, radiofrequency ablations, and, eventually, a discectomy and fusion. She also sustained injuries to her lumbar spine requiring epidural injections.

The defense argued that plaintiff’s injuries were not related to the crash since she did not seek medical treatment until 30 days after the accident. The case settled at a Judicial Conference before Trial for $425,000.
