A 38-year-old man received a $2.85 million recovery after suffering an injury to his thoracic spine resulting in paraplegia. He sustained the injury while playing a pick-up hockey game at the Wall Sports Arena. It was claimed that the ice on the rink was not properly maintained and had numerous ruts, one of which caused the player to lose his balance, fall, and then strike into the boards surrounding the perimeter of the rink. The matter settled after mediation. The client was represented by Blume Donnelly Partner, Michael B. Zerres.
