$425,000 Settlement for Lead Poisoning

Mr. Fried represented a child who was exposed to lead when his family rented a house built prior to 1950. There was lead based paint several layers below the top painted surface.

The child had very elevated lead levels, and developed lead poisoning symptoms including learning disabilities that can be consistent with either lead toxicity or associated with the autism spectrum. Though the defense experts opined that the child’s symptoms are more consistent with autism, Mr. Fried was able to settle this claim for $425,000.
