$250,000 Settlement for Slip & Fall / Icy Parking Lot

This matter involved a slip and fall on black ice while our client was walking from her car, through a parking lot into a Kohl’s Department Store in February, 2005. The woman slipped and fractured her hip which required surgery. Ronald Goldfaden settled the case for $250,000, alleging that the parking lot should have been free of all ice and that sand and/or salt should have been put down during business hours, especially in the vicinity of the entrance to the store where the woman was injured.
