$500,000 Settlement for Brachial Plexus Birth Injury – Erb’s Palsy

The firm negotiated a $500,000 settlement on behalf of an infant who sustained a brachial plexus injury when delivered by a nurse and on-call obstetrician who encountered a shoulder dystocia during the delivery. Despite physical therapy over the course of the first 3½ years of her life, the injuries to her 5th and 6th cervical nerves have not recovered completely, leaving the child with some restriction in use of her left hand.
