A five-year-old boy who suffers from developmental delays as a result of perinatal asphyxia obtained a $900,000 recovery from the obstetrician who performed the delivery. Blume Donnelly principal David Fried secured the settlement, claiming that the obstetrician delayed in performing an emergency cesarean section for fetal distress, represented by non-reassuring fetal heart tracings why the boy’s mother was in labor.
