The firm secured a $1.5 million settlement on behalf of a four-day-old infant (now currently three-and-a-half years old) for the partial amputation of his right arm at or about the elbow following the misplacement of a PICC (peripheral inserted central catheter) line into the child’s right axilla. The child, a boy, has been fitted with a prothesis known as a myoelectric arm.
