A 10-year-old child suffering from hydrocephalus (excess spinal fluid in the brain) was severely brain damaged when a malfunctioning shunt used to drain fluid from the skull was overlooked by her physicians. Attorney John Blume achieved a settlement for her family in the amount of $1.25 million.
