$400,000 Settlement for Medical Malpractice

Mr. Fried represented a client who was in his 60s. He had longstanding hypertension (high blood pressure). He never received treatment for the hypertension from his doctor and ultimately suffered a severe stroke, leaving him with a partial loss of function on one side of his body. Although our client had infrequent office visits with his doctor, when he was seen, he was told to check his blood pressure at home, which he did not do as instructed. In addition, our client had a low income from his employment; limiting the lost wage claim which could be asserted. Despite the difficulties in this case, Mr. Fried was able to obtain a settlement of $400,000.
