John Blume and Carol Forte worked together on a case involving a child who now has cerebral palsy. The obstetrician failed to diagnose fetal distress during labor and delayed in ordering a C-section delivery of the child. As a result of this, the child was deprived of oxygen for a prolonged time and suffered severe brain damage. The case was settled for the full amount of the $1 million insurance policy of the obstetrician, plus an additional joint contribution of $1 Million from the obstetric nurse and the hospital.
