$550,000 Settlement for Nursing Home Negligence

Blume Donnelly partner Kenneth Elwood represented an 83-year-old woman who had been admitted to a nursing home for short term sub-acute rehabilitation due to a broken leg, with plans to undergo a total knee replacement. Due to negligent nursing care at the home, she fell and sustained a brain hemorrhage and brain injury. She now requires a walker to ambulate. Ken was able to settle this claim for $550,000.
