$900,000 Settlement for Ironworker Death

Blume Donnelly principal David Fried settled a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of a 43-year-old ironworker who fell 25 feet when constructing a framework for a movie theatre in Red Bank, New Jersey. The client struck his head and expired at the scene. It was shown that that the general contractor failed to provide ladders or other appropriate means for workers to ascend or descend the framework structure. The ironworker left a widow and three children, ages 8, 6 and 3.
