$542,000 Settlement for Truck Accident / Tractor-Trailer Death

Ronald Goldfaden recently settled a case for the widow of a cargo inspector working at the Port in Jersey City who was run over and killed by a tractor trailer driver. The plaintiff and his wife were recent newlyweds. The accident occurred when the plaintiff’s decedent was inspecting cargo that was being carried in a refrigerated tractor trailer. The tractor trailer driver was asked to move his tractor trailer out of the way of other trucks, he did so without observing the plaintiff’s decedent standing between the tractor and the trailer, striking and killing him. There were no witnesses to the accident. Ron Goldfaden settled this matter for $542,000.
