$750,000 Recovery for Motor Vehicle Accident / Fractured Leg

Blume Forte partner Michael B. Zerres obtained a settlement on behalf of a client, the driver of a car, who was struck by another vehicle that attempted to make a left turn in front of her from an intersecting street with a stop sign. The impact caused the client – a year 67 old woman – to sustain a fractured tibial plateau of the left leg, requiring surgery with internal fixation. In addition, there was an open wound, requiring an additional plastic surgery procedure which was complicated by an infection. This left the client with some residual scarring on the left leg. The matter settled for $750,000.00
