$500,000 Settlement for Pedestrian Knockdown / Blood Clot Injury

Blume Donnelly partner Jeffrey Zenna settled a case for a 64-year-old woman who, when crossing a street outside of the crosswalk, was struck by a motor vehicle making a turn. Our client was hospitalized for only 4 days, though she did sustain some rather significant injuries including: a head trauma with intracerebral hemorrhaging (not requiring surgery) causing cognitive and visual impairment, and the development of a clot in her leg requiring the surgical placement of a “filter” to prevent the occurrence of further serious conditions from the clot. Mr. Zenna settled this case for $500,000.
